The eggs

Eggs
A healthy food: eggs. Source of quality proteins, healthy fats and essential nutrients.

There has always been a popular belief that eggs contain too much cholesterol and are therefore not a healthy food. However, today we know that this is not the case, quite the opposite.

Eggs are one of the most beneficial products we can consume . In fact, consuming up to two eggs a day is perfectly recommended and poses absolutely no health risk.

Among the benefits that consuming eggs brings us, we can highlight:

  • It is a source of essential nutrients. While one egg only provides 80 calories, it contains protein, iron and zinc, especially in the yolk. Likewise, it is rich in omega 3 fatty acids and vitamins.
  • In addition, the yolk is also rich in antioxidants such as lutein and zeaxanthin. In this way, it collaborates in the prevention of eye problems.
  •  It is a source of choline, an essential amino acid for the nervous system . In fact, it stimulates brain development and function. Therefore, it is related to memory and helps us stay alert.
  • Promotes heart health.
  • The fats that eggs provide are healthy fats. In this sense, they are not related to high blood cholesterol problems .
  • Vitamin D and calcium help strengthen bones.

The bananas

Bananas are one of the most consumed fruits in the world. However, due to its calorie and sugar content, it is another of those foods that many people try to avoid.

Fortunately, today, we can assure that banana is a highly nutritious food . Indeed, among its benefits we can highlight:

  • They are a great source of potassium and pectin , a type of fiber that supports digestive functions.
  • They also provide magnesium and vitamins C and B6, which strengthen the immune system and improve health.
  • Likewise, thanks to potassium, they promote heart health by helping to reduce blood pressure.
  • It is related to the prevention of some types of cancer.

For all these reasons, gluten-free banana pancakes with just these two foods are an ideal and delicious way to include them in your diet. Plus, they are ideal for breakfast. This way, you can start the day recharging your body with nutrients and energy.

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs (preferably organic)
  • 1 banana

Optionally

  • If you want your pancakes to be fluffier, you can use 1/8 teaspoon of baking powder.
  • Salt is also optional.

  • On the other hand, if you want your pancakes to be even more nutritious, you can add a tablespoon of natural honey .

Preparation

  • First, mash the banana. You should have a cream without lumps.
  • Next, if you are going to add any of the additional ingredients, now is the time. Add them to the banana cream and stir very well.
  • Afterwards, beat the eggs very well.
  • Then, mix the banana cream with the beaten eggs and continue stirring. Everything should be well mixed, without lumps.
  • Next, heat a frying pan (optionally with a little organic butter) and pour in a tablespoon of your mixture. You should have a fine hot cake .
